On World Animal Day in October, the Brooke will remember and honour the Horse Heroes - the horses, donkeys and mules working in times of war and peace. These animals undertake backbreaking work in terrible conditions. We are recognising their contribution through our 'Remember the Horse Heroes' campaign - inviting our supporters and the public to show that they remember these often forgotten heroic animals by sending in their messages of support and remembrance. The campaign will culminate on World Animal Day when we will hold a special tribute and share these messages at the Animals in War Memorial, London.

Please take this opportunity to remember the brave Horse Heroes of past wars and honour today's hardworking Horse Heroes - doing difficult jobs often in terrific heat, without water, shade or rest. To join in, simply follow these 3 easy steps: 1.
